Switzerland to lift all COVID-related travel restrictions on May 2

The Swiss State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) has lifted all entry restrictions it had in place throughout the pandemic

From May 2, Switzerland, which is one of India’s favorite travel destinations, is expected to welcome travelers from around the world as it did before the pandemic. The Swiss State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) has lifted all entry restrictions it had in place throughout the pandemic. The country would now be open to everyone with only the general travel rules applicable to entering the country, as before the pandemic.

Ritu Sharma, Deputy Director and Head of Marketing for India, said: “Switzerland is high on the wish list of avid travelers around the world who have been waiting to visit the country for two years without being burdened with paperwork. Now they can! We look forward to welcoming travelers from India from May 2nd and we can’t wait for them to come and enjoy the wonder that is Switzerland.

Travelers eager to visit Switzerland have the option of booking direct flights from Mumbai and Delhi with Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS). The airline resumed operations in India earlier this year after India and Switzerland signed an airline bubble deal that allowed their national carriers to operate flights between the two countries.
