Publication of “Ulti-mutt” Travel Destinations Accepting Dogs in the United States


EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Much of life as we know it has gone to dogs during the pandemic, and now the holidays can too.

Travel expert, founder of travel editorial site Fathom and co-author of Travel North America: (And Avoid Being a Tourist), Pavia Rosati and the animal welfare company, Pumpkin announced the 23 best dog-friendly destinations and a local place made the list.

Alamogordo, NM, has been designated as one of the “ulti-mutt” destinations.

Destinations on the list include sprawling towns and small towns that feature national parks, luxury boutique hotels with pet benefits, outdoor activities for man and beast, and more. .

The Paw House Inn in Rutland, Vermont: A hotel so dedicated to its pets that it charges owners a $ 10 fee if they not bring a dog.

Railway explorers in Boulder City, Nevada: Have you ever wished your puppy was having as much fun as you were? On this year-round outdoor adventure tour, dogs can ride with you on pedal rail bikes.

White Sands National Park in Alamogordo, New Mexico: Unlike many national parks across the country, White Sands welcomes dogs on a leash and allows them the same access as humans.

The Little Nell in Aspen, Colorado: For the pampered dog, the dog menu at this Five Diamond hotel includes Wagyu beef and other high-quality food options. For pet parents who want to spend some time alone, dog sitters and walkers are available.
