âThey will make sure you have the information you need and know where you can and cannot go,â said Eric Hrubant, owner of CIRE trips in CC
Calls to Hrubant’s office from people who have never used counsel have skyrocketed.
âWe get between 10 and 50 cold calls a day,â Hrubant said. âTwo hours out of my eight hour day are now spent checking COVID resources and requirements. We’re actually making these COVID appointments so they can come back to the United States â
According to the American Society of Travel Advisors, around 44% of travelers who do not normally use a travel service said they were now more likely to use a travel counselor. What’s more, nearly half of all travelers, also 44%, said they plan to seek help from a counselor once the pandemic is over.
Travel is certainly more complex during the pandemic, Hrubant says, but not impossible.
âThis is what we do,â Hrubant said.
