Authorities in Macao SAR and the nearby city of Zhuhai have agreed that epidemic prevention and control measures, currently in effect at the Zhuhai-Macao border crossings, will continue until midnight September 30.
This is the result of a videoconference meeting between Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng and Communist Party Secretary of Zhuhai Municipal Committee Guo Yonghang and Zhuhai Mayor Huang Zhihao, among other officials.
Ho Iat Seng joined this meeting just after arriving in Macau, after an official six-day mission to the mainland that took him to Chengdu City in Sichuan Province and Xi’an City in the province. of Shaanxi.
The authorities in Macau and Zhuhai will remain in close communication and the cross-border crossing measures will be adjusted, in due course, according to the evolution of the epidemic situation in Macau.
