Air France released a series of statistics on the increase in travel demand, including positive trends for business travel, luxury destinations and the carrier’s premium economy product.
The airline said business travel was “gradually returning to pre-Covid levels”, with demand up 318% year-to-date and peaking on April 6.
Air France also reported a 74% increase in demand for its premium economy seats since the start of 2022, as well as a 204% increase in demand for luxury long-haul destinations, including Mauritius, Saint-Martin , Dubai, Thailand and Cancun.
For the past few months, the carrier has been touting a move upmarket, with the launch of a new long-haul business class seat with sliding doorand work is progressing on a brand new first class seat which “will be the longest on the market and will offer up to three fully privatized modular configurations for an even more exceptional journey”.
